Small bomb explodes in police booth in Bangkok's Phra Nakhon district

BANGKOK: -- A small bomb exploded inside a police booth in Phra Nakhion district at 1:15 am Monday. No one was injured.

Nobody was inside the booth at the Pracha Kasem Intersection when the bomb exploded.

A taxi driver told police he saw smoke coming out of the booth and heard a loud noise and the booth's glass windows were shattered.

Glass windows of nearby buildings were also shattered.

Hopefully it was some punk kid that did this rather than some organised group.

Also odd that nobody was inside the box. Every box I've gone by has been staffed by what appears to be senior police member and there's regular beat cops outside.
