UPDATE now owned jazz for a few weeks done 1500km, materials used inside are cheapish, seat material I dont think will last long, I have seen other markets models and they seem to use higher quality plastics, leather steering wheel, cruise control and central LCD screen with many functions on.

Trips to Hua Hin can get 21km per litre driven at 100-110km/h, around town On Nut area quite congested 9.5km/litre. I much prefer the old CVT gears system I dont like the lurching of the 5 speed box. Its got another 10 hp but I havent noticed any performance increase.

Easy up and down seat system and plenty big enough for me at 6' but my MAIN GRIPE IS THE HONDA DEALER NETWORK ESP "SUMMIT HONDA" WHO I COMPLAINED TO............ no reply and none from Honda Thailand so I sent a leter to Honda Japan see if they say anything.

Pretty quiet on the move and good visibility with new front quarter side windows.

I really think however they should include more accessories esp crusie control easily fittable a s standard.

I prefer its looks to the Yaris and other small cars about, the boot (trunk) is a decent size too unlike the Yaris.

Fortuner TRD Sportivo 2009 in Thailand. Brute force and ignorance!

Underused Jaguar XKR convertible 2001 in UK. Should sell her, but she makes a wonderful mistress (great head) to pick up on an earlier thread, and its nice to remember what real driving is like on my visits back north.

Just realised a dream and bought me an AUDI A6 3.0 TDI quattro.

The dealer made me a huge discount and the car, which had 6'000 km, I couldn't resist.

This car is amazing. So far (1 week) I managed an average of 8 l/ 100 km (or about 12.5 km / liter). Mainly driving in the city. Next week I will take if to Trat and wonder what average mileage I will get. Anyone interested in this info?

And then, I will try to do some tuning. There is a German car tuner specialising in AUDI. His name is ABT and they have a software update for this engine, bringing it from 220 HP to 270 HP. I don't know what that will do to the torque (now 450 Nm), but based on previous experience with ABT, I expect higher torque at the same revs and even better mileage.

Kick ass! The 3.0 TDI is an engine with lots of potential tune up. Don't use the ABT chip. Too expensive. I don't know O.CT, but they have a good rep. Check out Audiclubthailand.com.

I have a 95 and 96 S6 in Thailand. The 95 was rammed by a 8 ton truck. So all goodies being transferred to the 96. The car should be done soon.

Things being done:

-New paint (Ebony black),

-Black leather interior transfer from 95 to 96,

-2.2 20vT engine (260HP approx) with 034motorsport goodies transfer from 95 to 96,

-gearbox transfer from 95 to 96,

-A/C transfer from 95 to 96.

Then TEST DRIVE! Yay!

If anybody is looking for S6 C4 parts, send me PM. Lots of guys from the Audiclub have reserved parts already.

Thought i was a proud owner of a Honda Civic 1.8. 2 years down the road and the shock absorbers gone. tyres changed twice due to mistake from the factory. broken remote control key (1,800) to replace. noisy back suspension that no one knows how to solve. cheap honda silver logo on the steering wheel that shows the cheap plastic beneath. etc etc problems.

screwed stuck up staff at honda. sales girls in little skimpy skirts walking around the showrooms who don't really give a hoot about you cause they already selling so many of them overpriced hondas.

I'll Never buy a Honda again!

oh and to answer the OP's question. its a 1.8 Honda Civic. 1997.

Same goes for Toyota though. They sell so many of them - stick in a few gadgets and watch the lemmings clamber for them. I don;t know how toyota can still be using 4 speed auto boxes with under powered engines. They sold about 80K cars the year to date wiule ford has sold less than 1000. This, despite they have a great diesel car (best handling and ingear acceleration in its class), and the new fiesta also will have the twin clutch gearbox. Now the mazda 2 is out and I've seen at least 6 of them on the roads over the last few days. It's time for honda and toyota to lift their game, I think.

I drive - a piece of cr@p :) - a Mitsu Lancer (Champ) 1.3, with a dented in door, fair bit of filler and an engine that sounds like a cornbine harvester going for the land speed record draging a metal dustbin behind it!

People keep asking me why I don't buy a nice newer one - I say, in the last 6 m onths its been hit, while stationary, 4 times and the door was dented when I was turning right slowly and some twit in a pick up thibnks it would be a great time to drive down the wrong side of the road and over take ten cars at high speed and skidded into me (I was hardly moving at the time as it was a tight turn - I had my idicators on, was positioned far right of the right hand lane- which incidently had 3 lanes, two of which, to my left, were empty!!!).

Yeah, all I want is a new car in this donkey derby! My last two cars in the UK were a new S-Type Jag (3.5 V8 SE) and a brand new Dodge Avenger 2.00 SXT - still have the latter for trips home.

Phew...nice if you've got the beans ! My gf paid 750,000 for her terraced house in Khon Kaen a couple of years back. So with 5.8 mil she could have bought the row of 8.!! Its odd how cars cost more than houses here ?

This young man said to me once, 'Thailand is where your car will cost more than your house'.

We have a 2005 Mazda Freestyle, bought new, with abt 20000 original K's. Fit right in in Chiang Rai. Just goes back to the dealership for service.

Those are great little cars, and I would have gotten one of those if I hadn't ended up with:

1983 Toyota Corolla 1.3L, 5-spd, about 200,000 kilometers, all for 50,000 baht. A neat little car, though obviously it is a toy compared to what I used to always buy for the equivalent $1,500 back home (things like comfortable, powerful old full sized V-8 GM sedans, in perfect condition)
