i bought a CAT wireless aircard on my last trip when i was staying in chiang rai, and it works great, faster and more dependable than relying on someone's wireless. they told me i should get reception everywhere in thailand except bangkok, but i'm not really sure if that's true or not.

i'm thinking of spending a month in chaloklum on koh phangan, and wonder if anyone uses an aircard on the island, and how well it works.

anyone?

i use a sierra wireless aircard with AIS pre-pay in Chaloklum and it works fine. slow in comparison to dsl but perhaps slightly faster than wireless. best option i've found if you don't have a telephone line.

works ok here in chaloklum, but does not work all over the island.
