i have been with this company for over a year and fortunately have not had to make a claim - but does anyone have any experience with Premier International in Thailand . They seem not expensive for the cover they provide .

Hi churchill, I had a look at their website and they are a bit shy about what their premiums are. Do you know? And you say "not expensive" , would you care to elaborate?

I've been with Premier for the past 6 years without claim. Only complaint is the recent 125% increase in premiums without notice at the time of renewal when underwriter was switched from Generali to AVIVA. Their premiums reflect market rates.

You're right Churchill, they got different plans. With OPD, without OPD, nil deductable, 30,000 Baht deductable etc. - all plans expensive imo.

I pay 78,000 Baht++ nil deductable, OPD + IPD; OPD no maximum; worldwide coverage except USA and the Caribbean. One of my reasons for choosing Premier, and from what I understand is that they got something what they call "elective" so for example if you need surgery and you "elect" to have it done outside Thailand then it is not a problem. Also ideal for people who frequently travel outside Thailand. Haven't submitted any claims with them yet. Would be interesting to hear from others who have.

To BSJ,

Shop around a bit and google a bit around too. There are so many insurance companies and agents out there. Took me forever to compare and make a final decision...

Hi Flow, I don't like parting with money if I don't have too! Will compare many before the final decision.
