Greatest Entertainer

Featured Replies

Not just a singer,..nor just an actor,...nor just a comedian.

Who ,in your opinion are the best ever top 3 entertainers ??

For me its

No 1...way ahead...ELVIS of course.

No 2... a giant in his time...Al Jolson.

No 3 ... grew into films after his crooner days.....Frank Sinatra.

Being from UK ,runners up domesticaly would be

Gracie Fields...Ken Dodd....Benny Hill....and although I hate to say it ...Cliff Richards.

AND as far as simply a comedian...how about Tony Blair !!!

There are a few top entertainers.

Elvis is at or near the top.

He had the charisma, or what I call, the "it."

Elvis had the enigmatic thing. He had the good voice and the looks.

You asked for entertainers, not just singers and comedians etc.

That is what you have listed.

I reckon a real allrounder that wins hands down iN all categories WOULD BE.......

DANNY KAYE

Andrew Dice Clay

Whatever happened to him? I still laugh (and quote) when I think of some of his stuff, and he was a good actor.

The Stones, but just an addition to the heretofore mentioned entertainers. Someone already mentioned Thai politicians, but I think some of the Thai girls are the best (actresses, that is).

Red Skelton

Jackie Gleason

Bob Hope

James Brown

The Beatles

Johnny Carson

Just to name a few :o:D

I'm bound to get criticized for this, but no one could touch Michael Jackson in his prime. Blah blah pedo jokes, nose job, etc.

Agree Danny Kaye, Sammy Davis Junior, Bob Hope

The Marx Brothers

The Three Stooges

Laurel and Hardy

Charlie Chaplin

Gotta add, Billy Connolly....

A small selection of comedians:

Danny Kaye

Benny Hill

Marty Feldman

John Cleese

Jon Stewart

Rowan Atkinsen

morecombe and wise

charlie drake

dickie henderson

Charlie Chaplin !

He was a genious. Many of his movies which he wrote (that included screen plays and music scores), directed and himself starred in it had become classic.

To name a few of his greatest achivement :

The Kid

The Gold Rush

Modern Times

The Circus

City Lights

The Great Dictator

Limelight

:o:D:D:D:D

Jim Davidson in Sinderella.

John Cleese in anything,

Bob Monkhouse for his wit,

Les Dawson for his impersonations

Any Two Ronnies sketches [specially Terry Wogans floral dance, ] it combined everything !!!!!
