Hi.

I just want to know if you know anything about Ta Chai motorbike work shop in Chaweng.

It is located just off the main road on the small road down to chaweng in the southern entrance of Chaweng.

Just on the left side in the curve, I think they have a Harley-Davidson- sign at their shop.

Are they good with repairs?

Any experience from them?

Thanks. :o

The chai-motorbike shop in chaweng just ripped us off our lovely Honda.

We left it there for repairs and never saw it again.

They kept talking about repainting it and that they had farang who wanted to buy it.

We asked for our motorbike several times and they said that someone was working on it.

We agreed to sell the bike and tried to set a meeting with them and the buyer several times but they never came up with a buyer. We left our phone-number several times too but they never called us.

All they said was "do you have the green book"? "Give me the green book" but we didn't.

In the end we had to go to the police and sort it out, and they got a way with our beautiful motorbike and payed us a lot less than what it is worth.

They also gave us a check but they had no money in the account. Back to the police again and finally we made arrangements and got our money.

I guess they simply just wanted our bike for themselves. I would have wanted it back though.

We also had to pay for a paintjob that we never even saw if they did or not. 2500baht for the paintjob and 3500 baht for repairs.

Luckily we have thai friends who helped us.

This is what it looked like:

They got the bike for a lot less than it is worth, and I still feel very sad about loosing our VTR, this way. Would have wanted to "break up" with it in another way.

We rented it for a week first at our engagement-trip 3 years ago and the year after we moved to Thailand. Rented it for 2 months and after a while we bought it.

We have a small baby now and we don't dare to take her on the VTR.

Would have wanted to keep the bike for a bit longer though....
