Video Production Facilities In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Does anyone know a reasonably priced and reliable production house in Chiang Mai where I could put together a 5 minute show-reel from BETA SX, Digital BETA (and VHS) tapes? Output onto DVD or mini DV.

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

In Pantip plaza beside BKK bank, there is a place that can do it. I have had similar things done by them before. They're pretty good.

Thanks for the tip. Do you know if they can handle BETA formats though? Also, I haven't logged time-codes so I would need to be able to view the tapes on a BETA machine

I'm not sure about BETA but they seem to be able to do anything.

Another option would be to check out the Raintree Resource Center. They have a lot of old VHS and Beta tapes. Perhaps they also have a machine that you can borrow.

You are talking TV Broadcast standards here.

Have you tried looking for Video Production Houses or facilities, perhaps Google.

When you say Beta, I think many members will think you are referring to the old Betamax domestic standard!

Yes, you're right - I mean professional broadcast standard BETACAM.

I have tried Googling but haven't had any joy so far.

Hello,

I have acsess to an Avid system, what is it you want to do? Just a transfer or are you looking for something a little more advanced?
