ITF
Bangkok Furniture Show is going on this coming week (22nd-30th). I wonder what to expect? I have a new dwelling in my country that needs furnishing and love Asian architecture -- mainly wood based furnishings. I can assume there will be good quality available at this event, but will the prices be astronomical? Are there generally deals to be found if anyone has attended before? Are most open to shipping out of continent? Are the shipping cost on potentially large items going to be so large that any deal I get will be negated by shipping prices? Thanks, am awaiting expertise..
Checker
Go on the 29th/30th, that's when they have really good prices...as they do not wish to take all their goods back to their factory . . .

mrtingtong
Queen Sirikit Convention Hall I think it is called. Get off at Queen Sirikit Suway station and you can't miss it. I would advise going before midday as it will likely be packed in the afternoon with Thais with nothing better to do.
bkkjames
Went to this yesterday. Basically the same show as they always have with lots of furniture and TVs, fridges. Not much in the way of dishes, cookware, and small appliances but ok if you are looking for a bed, couch. Ended up buying a mattress, some bedding and that Ergorapido vacuum thingy from Electrolux. Overall, its ok if you are looking for bigger items but if you want small stuff for the home, JJ market is much better.
