Help and advise needed on car hire and hotel

Where in KHONKAEN

Theres an Avis in KK airport.

The hotel really depends on how much you are willing to spend.

If you've got a few baht to spare the Kosa Hotel is a nice place.

The best hotel in KK is the sofitel hotel. If you're on a budget, the sawasdee hotel is not bad.

Any idea what kind of drivers license do they require? Will a US license be sufficient?

Thanks :o

It will, they will rent you a vehicle.

AVIS may warn you it's your problem to deal with cops if they ask for international.

Myself, got pulled out 5-6 times, Oz licence was always good enough, have never had the int's one.

Get an international just to cover your but

I've rented cars in BKK and Isaan many times. I've also been stopped before too. My Canadian License was always fine. I wouldn't waste the money on an International.
