Thai Language Software

I was looking for computer software that you could install that would translate written English text into Thai. Is there such a thing? Where to find it? How much? Is it better than some of the websites available for free?

I would guess there are some commercial solutions available, but you should not trust machine translations. Even between European languages that are closely related, proper translations can at this stage not be achieved by machines without heavy human intervention and editing. A really good translation engine would require real artificial intelligence.

In my experience, the best these programs can do for you is to provide some general idea of the subject matter of a text. You can not put any trust in them doing anything else for you.
