Ramos 'replaces Schuster at Real'

Real Madrid have called a press conference for 1330 GMT when they are expected to announce the departure of coach Bernd Schuster.

Schuster will reportedly be replaced by former Tottenham manager Juande Ramos until the end of the season.

Real are fifth in the Primera Liga, nine points behind Barcelona who they face in El Clasico on Saturday.

The Madrid board had given Schuster several votes of confidence before Sunday's 4-3 home defeat by Sevilla. More soon.

I hope he gets the team going in the next week or so, I have tickets to watch them play Valencia at the Bernabéu, the day we land from Thailand on the 20th December. Mrs Thaimiller is really looking forward to it honest...... :o

Ramos must think Xmas has come two weeks early......two months ago sacked from Spurs now in charge at one of the biggest clubs in the world.

He cant really lose....if they continue to struggle it will be Schusters fault,if they do well maybe a long term contract.

Yeah, he certainly is lucky, and I'm sure his old club in Spain Sevilia feel the same way, as they attribute a lot of the success to the Sporting Director, rather than Ramos.

I suppose the only things that Spurs have in common is that they both wear white shirts, and in the past couple of season have continued to under acheive.
