Gotta get busy and give my ER-6n some volume and make her stand out from the crowd. What do you think of this Akrapovic pipe?

This Scorpion can is pretty hot looking too...

I may be the only one here but I think the standard exhaust looks fantastic and if it's quiet, all the better to me :o

I think Kawasaki is taking a very Japanese approach to sales here, and that's a good thing. Train those mechanics, and take your time. Thats the way to do it. The dealer in CM has been nothing but completely professional. They even called when they said they would. I am still surprised about that :D

Dave, I would have to agree with you on those F fairings, looks very nice, wonder what that would cost? The Akrapovic pipe looks a little awkeward, the scorpian a little better, carbon fibre would be even better. Besides power increases, tis all in the sound when it comes to a little upbeat twin! I hope you don't tell me to shut up now :o

Kawasaki Big Bike in Bangkok is only able to set up 3 a day

Can only set up three/day?

Apart from connect the battery, pour in approx two whiffs of fuel (why don't they give a full tank free?), screw on a number plate, fire it up, rev the engine a couple of times, check lights, brakes, oil level, tyre pressure and feather duster the dust off, what else is involved in setting it up?

If I was running the garage with that backlog I would have the mechanics on overtime and in on Sunday. In fact, I would also be working to get 'em rolling out the door.

You obviously havent seen the speed of some thai workers. You forgot to mention the bike is in a create, it has to be offloaded from its delivery vehicle, unpacked, front wheel installed.....actually some bikes arrive in even more parts than others....ive never even clapped eyes on an er6n in a create. Then they have to eat, fart and scratch around between jobs.....I can easily see that they may only be able to prep 3 per day.....providing that theres nine of them doing it :o

:D very funny neverdie, but also very true.

Cro....Have you thought about getting one of these for yourself, you could keep it in one of the panniers & launch it out when you got to the twisties OR if the big machine ever got a flat?????

Kawasaki called me last night and told me I could collect my bike, so this morning I was there (A WEEK EARLY) !

They wheeled the orange one out of the showroom and off I went.

Have done around 100km so far, it is a very nice machine. The low down grunt of the twin is new for me. The only downside is the 1000 km running in time. I'm dying to give this bike a thrashing.

The seat seems to tip me forward into the tank a bit and is a bit hard, I will either get used to it or modify it at a later date.

Handling seems fantastic, even on the brand new tyres. Excellent bike and amazing value in Thailand.

The guy at Mityon says Kawasaki have a max quota of 35 bikes a month that can be sold in Thailand.

Cheers

He offered me 110K for the Ninja.

With the 1st class insurance (I think it's transferable), still almost two years' guarantee from Kawasaki, and not many kms on the clock taking a hit of 30% or 49,000 Baht off the new price is too much, at least IMO.

If that's all they are worth I'll be keeping mine in the lounge as decoration!

I don't think a farang would buy a used one at 120K, but it would probably seem like an attractive proposition for a Thai, especially bought from the dealer with warranty/insurance etc.

Cheers

Yes absolutey INTJ I think Big Guns got a fantastic offer for his Ninja, its almost new with only 1600kms on it!

Anybody not wanting to pay NEW PRICE but get a new bike for what maybe the dealer will offer it @ 115 -120 k baht.

Thai's might go for it if they turn a blind eye to the looming recession coming this way.

Come on, that's a saving of 39,000 baht or over 800 Quid to us Brits. There are almost no used Ninja 250's on the market, possibly the handful here on TV because owners are upgrading is the entire market. The ONE that has been sold so far went in an instant and the OTHER ONE could be sold to a DEALER at 110,000.

Maybe one or two people around here wouldn't bother about spending the extra 39,000 and get 0 kms on the clock. But I am pretty sure there are quite a few that would go for saving say 20,000 Baht and be very happy with a bike that is still in showroom condition with 2,000 kms on the clock, complete with works guarantee, insurance, green book.

Babbit's online has them, you'll have to get them shipped in from the States. Looks like you'll end up dropping no less than ~560 USD.

I have seen 4 sold in the last month (1 not actually changed hands yet).. How many more do you want ??

I can see why that faring kit is about $560, it has more parts than the engine - unbelievable. As soon as I've completed my engineering course, I will be able to fit them :o

I know it's a matter of personal taste, but the naked version is far more beautiful in my opinion.

Happy and safe riding.

I agree. We are in Thailand - used cars/bikes are expensive. I'd think you can sell a Dtracker for 30,000 off list no problems right now, e.g. 120k. Dealers seem to agree if they are willing to buy for 110k.

If you sell me a ER-6n with 1500 kms for 185,000, and you can show me the service book etc, I'll probably go for it. And that's less savings even percentage wise.

Here's a quick snap of my new baby

WOW!

Sex on a stick!

Gorgeous.

One the same as yours passed on the third road in Pattaya yesterday, i followed it as far as i could to try and listen to the exhaust but i was in my car, arhhhh!

Have fun (lots of).

There was only one one the roads in Pattaya yesterday :o

I parked the bike up and had something to eat, and from my vantage point I saw 3 people stop to look at it, that has never happened before even with fireblades etc.

It is WAY much more of a head turner than the Ninja I rode for a while. People seem to love the colour - it was my Mrs who tipped the scales in favor of the orange, and I really glad of that now. The black one looks "meaner" but the orange really stands out, the pics don't do it justice. And the front headlight looks amazing.

Done another 100 km today and loving it. A couple of mates had a go on it and were very impressed. Just want to get this first 1000 km running in out of the way !

Cheers
