Looking For Irish Musicians

Featured Replies

I want to put on some live music in my bar on Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok. What I would really like is an Irish band that plays traditional folk music. But to be realistic, what I'd settle for are 1 or 2 people who can play the penny whistle and violin or accordion etc - and who know some typical traditional Irish folk tunes. (I'm Irish, so I know many of the songs, but I can't play them!).

Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

The Kilkenny (sic)in Pattaya....had an Irish trio about a year ago....played traditional and also some modern stuff, Cranberries etc....had an Aussie female singer...Maybe you could contact them....quite a good band too. Got a pic of them but dont know how to put it here.

How about Bizz and 12 Call starting up a duo ? :o

There was a Canadian band knocking about BKK last year that played a fair range of folk music. Can't remember thier name but they played at the Australian CC Australia day ball a little while back, and were very good.

Don't know about a penny whistle...but I know a lady that can play the skin flute
