I have posted some pictures from Benjakiti Park. It is a lovely park, good for Bangkok.

The Tobacco Company has for years operated and still does in the city center. By 2008 the company will evacuate all premises and move all activity to Chiang Rai. The Tobacco Company's area will be transferred into two large park areas in Bangkok. The first step in this direction in the opening of the Benjakiti Park. The 130 rai area is a brand new and beautiful park around the big lake in front of the Queen Sirikit Convention Center. The second step will be the 300 rai big area developed to a rain forrest park by 2008, where the factories are now.

The RH Queen Sirikit opened the park on December 9, and we took a walk on December 10. It is just fantastic, and close to where we live too. Take a look and see how much the Thais enjoy their new park...
