Six killed in road accident following graduation party

Pathum Thani - Two new university graduates were killed along with four friends after their car fell from an elevated way early Saturday, police said.

The accident happened at 2:30 am at the Chiang Rak-Bang Khan elevated way in Pathum Thani's Klongluang district.

Police said Jinatta Daengthammachart and Wongkorn Wanapongtipakorn, the new graduates, were killed along with four friends inside Jinatta's sedan car.

Police said the car hit the wall of the elevated road and the impact hurling it over the way and landed on its top on the road below, killing the six at the scene.

The four friends were identified as Kittinan Boonyaworakul, 24, Titiporn Boonyaworn, 24, Supatcha Anuwarn,24, and Piyada Mangkhonkriangkrai, 23.

Their friend, Saliltip Sitthimalakul, 23, who was travelling in another car, said the six friends were returning to Jinatta's home after drinking at a pub to celebrate Jinatta and Wongkorn's graduation.

The Nation

Sorry to hear this said news especially ones who are just starting life.... Sad to see they didn't learn from all their schooling that drinking and driving do not mix. Should have taken a taxi... May they RIP.

I read about this elsewhere. What a tragic, grisly, horrifying (to think about what the last few seconds were like) accident.

My Girlfriend has just returned home from one of the funerals (Piyada Mangkhonkriangkrai, also known as Lek). Yes, I'm sorry to say that the alcohol & drive culture in this country appears to have taken 6 more young lives. R.I.P. Lek.

I saw the picture of the car in the paper.....was truely a high speed impact. The car was completely wrapped around the pole, im unable to tell what type it was.

Alcohol, speed and stupidity = DEADLY!

RIP - One can only hope the young friends of these people learn from the tragedy
