Birth Certificate

Hello all I am new to this forum so please bear with me on this. I have been to Pattaya a few times now and have fallen for an absolutely beautiful bar girl. :D I have already gotten over her lifestyle thing so I don't need any advice on that. My question for all of you Thailand Vets out there is about her age. She tells me she is 26 but then shows me a Passports that shows her being 23. Her story is that her father did not get a birth certificate for her until she was three so the authorities made the day her father went to the office her birthday and not three years ago. She is from Surin and I am wondering if this is normal or maybe she is just lying about her age and if she is why say she is three years older. Or does she like me enough to start telling the truth now. Can someone out there give me some clues on what might be going on here. :o Thanks to all for your help.

You have gotten over her lifestyle but question her about her age? :o

It could very well have happened as she says. Born at home and no paperwork done until later and official using current date on report to save explanations/face for everyone.

The procedures when you get out of Bangkok can be less than perfect.

It does not surprise me at all.

Sorry, I re-read your post.....

She is from Surin and I am wondering if this is normal

Next question...... There is nothing normal here in the "Jungle"....

I am not at all surprised by your comment. In any way what so ever.

Particularly as I am sitting here in the Southern-most Ampour of Surin......Overlooking the jungle.... :o

But why you care about her age so much, bb63? Is that very important? In my opinion, it's no need to cheat you on her age.

There's also something wrong with my birth certificate, but not my age. The place of my birth is wrong.

Easily believable, my ex wives passport said she was 1 year younger than she realy was because of a late registration of her birth.

They dont get a birth certificate, (per se), their birth gets put on their house registration papers.

Not to mention the peice of paper the hospital issues, then you take that piece of paper to the Ampour to get the birth added to the House Registration papers.

Think of it more as a "Family Book" it is possible to have one and no house
