ok I got my IDP from AAA, never had one before, so was expecting something a little more official (?) looking. Was just wanting to know if anyone had used one of these when they got their thai drivers license. Was thinking maybe get one from the internet that looks more like a drivers license. Will it help if I still have my 1970 thai drivers license(the wife never likes to throw things away).

I got my THAI driving license in November this year; the AA I.D.P. is the one that you want.

You also need

Your full driving license

Medical cert issued in Thailand.

Letter from immigration to confirm your address in Thailand.

Photographs of you.

O category visa, not one issued at the airport.

Photo copies of relevant pages of passport.

And 105 B fee.

NO DRINING TEST

Only colour blind test + a break reaction test.

Dead easy no fuss.

Thanks Edd sounds ok then.

The wife and I couldn't find an experation date on my old DL i think that is why she kept it all these years.
