Help With Driving Directions...

Featured Replies

Hey Bankokians,

I am driving up from Hua Hin next week and will be staying in a Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 26. I don't drive in Bangkok much but I am familiar with using the freeway to exit on Rama IV near the Lumpini area. I know that I can take a left on RAMA IV from the freeway and proceed down to the south end of Soi 26 and make an easy left turn there to get to the hotel (according to my map).

What I don't know is what Soi sign to look for on that (RAMA IV) end. I know Bangkok streets often have a different name on either end and I suspect that Suk Soi 26 has a different name on the Rama IV end.

Can anyone tell me what the name is (on the sign) or what to look for on the corner so that I know where to turn.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you have to turn left at Suk Soi 30. Go several kilometers & 26 is a junction on your left.

Get a map.

It's called Soi Ari (Aree) on my map. It's about a kilometer after Carrefour.

Soi Ari, there is a Carrefour on the corner.

If you passed Carrefour you went too far.

Thank you very much. Your answer is very helpful... sounds like I can miss it with the name (Soi Ari) and a Carrefour on the corner.
