Krabi Damage

Hi,

I do not want to sound selfish with all the death and desruction after the tidal wave.....but....I paid for a 2 week holiday in Ao Nang and Railey Beach. Does anyone know the extent of the damage. Thanks for your help.

I understand your concern, but would wait a few days before asking your agent, and/or direct contact with the resort.

Krabi has certainly been mentioned in the local reports as an affected area, though the TV emphasis has been on Phuket.

You may have to make alternate arrangement once you arrive and then claim against your travel insurance of the lost money.

There is a website at railay.com which has some good pictures and fairly recent info. Seems to be not much damage at Railay, and other websites I have seen say Ao Nang has not suffered too much either.
