Brigante7
Yes she does. It is no big deal really. I still have the power to stop the card and the most she would get is one days limit. 20K Thai baht. To all the above posters talking about trust in a such a supercilious way, I would say: Never trust anybody, even family. Ever. Virgil got it right in The Aeneid. I trust my wife with everything I have, which isn't much, so I've no worries.

JetsetBkk
The bank had reported that some thieves had stolen the personal data of a British customer; then allegedly transferred 1.72 million baht of the Briton's money into a third person's account...The investigation concluded that Porntip had given her British ex-boyfriend's ATM and credit-card information to Supichyada... http://www.phuketgazette.net/news/index.as...7&display=1 'Nuff said. LooseCannon
No - as she has her own card to our joint account it is not necessary for her to know. Full access to everything, same as me. Of course if you have married a fiscal idiot it is advisable to give her pocket money only. At the risk of being branded 'supercilious' as suggested by a previous poster - why in [expletive deleted] name would you marry someone you did not trust? Maybe part of the 'I think I will get me a little Asian maid' mentality - sticks out like dog's balls when you run into these clowns.

ernieK24
A lot of Thai men hand over their ENTIRE salary to their wife, and the wife will give them spending money each day. ..........................True, and I can introduce you to two Farang (British) whose TW's handle their ENTIRE income (pensions) and gives them spending money each day. One as low as 200Baht. That's not too bad. I don't spend 200 baht a day. I'm with Gary.....if anybody picks my pocket and steals my wallet, I only paid a buck fifty at Walmart for the fabric wallet and I never carry more than a couple hundred and change. Keep the money and give me back my wallet, or my wife will kill me. If I lose my wallet she'll never give me any more money. And she's the only person I know that's cheaper than I am. I trust my wife or I wouldn't have married her, and dat's the troot, pffffttttt...!

wefearourdespot
wait a minute...perhaps those who voted yes meant they told their wives the PIN number just to make them feel trustworthy but obviously changed it immediately after ...please confirm this just to revive my trust in my fellow farangs brain sanity
wefearourdespot
Not wife, but husband. And since its our bank accounts, they are our ATM cards. Does it count as a yes vote on the poll if he has to ask me the PIN because he can never remember it ? You mean the PIN is not the nationwide 1234 ?
