I'm trying to get my timing belt and water pump changed for my 2007 Chevrolet Optra and would like to know if anyone knows any mechanics that can do this change for me in Isan. The dealer wants 8000 baht, but I prefer to save me some money, and help the smaller shops out. any recommendations?

Matt you are wanting to get a somchai (small shop, no warranty) do do important work like timing belt. rather than the main dealer where at least you have some sort of warranty and i presume that they have the training with your model. respectfully your mad!
