Has any one any info on the free water & electric subsidy, I've heard locally the water could be back on but only for 30 units not the 50 units allowed in this last 6 month's that's around 400 baht a month

I did find a note on this in the Bangkok post

The current Democrat-led government, in office just over a month, has extended other measures brought in by the past administration, such as free water and electricity for the poor and subsidised public transport. However, it removed subsidies on retail petrol prices now crude oil prices have fallen.

I just opened my electric bill, and the free electricity program is still in place.

This months bills are the last of the old 6 month scheme, but I believe it should still be free next month as they say its been extended, but have not seen any details yet only heard that the water use of maximum 50 units is dropping to 30 units, not sure if the same will apply to the electric, guess we will have to wait & see,I'm way over the electric allowance anyway :o

OK a little good news in these uncertain times.

The meter man came yesterday, i went to see the little book that he makes his notes in & was happy to see he put 30 Units down :D he had a laugh with the misses saying that was lucky as its free for 6 months again but only for 30 units not 50 as before,so now the family have been shown how to be a little greener by learning how to conserve water so it has other plus points. :o
