Websites Advertising Prostitution

Featured Replies

I frequent a number of websites and often see one pop up advert from a site advertising prostitutes

It's the same site every time so there must be a bit of money in the business. Here's their banner

Some of the sites hosting these links are semi respectable and not into porn etc so it's a bit of a surprise. What's worse is that the girls are generally quite ugly.

Does anybody ever click on these links ?

We talked about this once before in Bedlam i believe, but about the fact these girls sure do get around. Ie: if you are reading TV from the UK, these girls are in the UK. If you are reading from Thailand, they are here. I guess you are in KL then lamphun, right? - Do i get a prize for my detective skills? :o

google ads, usually the site owner doesn't have any input into what the ad is.

However, if they show up on ThaiVisa its good to let support or george know so that he can have google ban them from the site.

But I find them quite funny, its always the same girls.

Asia Friend Finder is an affiliate program that introduces females to males (or the other way) and a website gets paid for that click/conversion.

It's a good way of monetising a website, especially in Thailand :D

From what I can see it is only visible on this site in the bedlam forum, so what is the problem. People post here without some other restrictions on the main forum and see some ads that may not be on other parts of the forum.

In my experience people who click on this kind of ad are normally new to the internet or drunk... so some of us have nothing to worry about :o

Get over it is my opinion.. it's just an ad

Totster :D

:o Totster. I think for most of the regular posters of Bedlam its more a topic of fun than complaint but perhaps some people are complaining just for the sake of having something to complain about?

Those ads appear in many web sites.

My comments were in fun Totster, would rather laff than whinge

Yeah, I know.. actually i didn't mean for my post to sound so serious..

NOTE TO SELF "use more smilies" .. :D

Totster :D

Seriously though, Pete, I think it's good that they get around, this same small group of girls. I can meet one here in Melbourne and then, if I'm bored whilst overseas, meet the same one there as well - no matter my destination.

Oi, just a minute I resemble that remark!

Anyhow you are all talking about my groupies. These are good girls who have been following me from the UK through France, Malaysia, Thailand, Viet Nam and now they are camped out on my monitor here in downtown Seoul. They must be desperate to follow me like they do but what can I, an international playboy ratcounter and plain HUNK (good stuff this Soju :D ), do about it?

Typo Tiggs? Where are these girls really?

Then you must agree that Bedlam is a rather strange place to put these ads...

selective reading there dantilley? the rest of the sentence might well apply to quite a few Bedlam members

Nope, just selective quoting :o
