Narita Layover Page

Featured Replies

Here's a bit of shameless self-promotion....

Over the years I've compiled the Narita Layover Page which contains information about what to do during a long layover in Narita. Since many flights to LOS from the Mainland US and elsewhere transit through Narita, I thought I'd bring it to the attention of the readers of this forum.

Here's a little unsolicited praise I received recently:

Hi,

Just wanted to write a quick note of THANKS for your amazing narita

layover page! I had a 9 hour layover between Bangkok and Los Angeles in Tokyo

and if it hadn't been for you, I probably would have wondered aimlessly

for hours going out of my mind in the airport for  hours!

Thanks to you and ALL of your helpful hints, and guidance, I was able

to get off of my plane, sail through customs (was so helpful to know that I

just had to write 'transit' on my landing card!), store my luggage, and

get right onto a train into Narita with no problems!

I landed on January 2nd and the temple was aflood with thousands of

people visiting for the new year, it was amazing! Had some wonderful tempura

udon, and enjoyed ALL of the little shops along the way to the temple.

I can't thank you enough, you made my trip that much more special. I had

never been to Japan, and your site guided me through every step to make it

easy as possible. The maps were great, the suggestions were exceptional,

and it was easy as pie to get out of the airport and into town.

Thanks again, Keep up the good work!

Jennie
