Moving To Bangkok

Featured Replies

I will be moving to Bangkok soon and I am looking for somewhere to stay. I will be a student at ABAC at Hua Mak campus close to the National Stadium (Rajamangala Stadium).

I do not have a car, but I own a motorbike.

The apartment must have:

- a kitchen (refrigerator and sink)

- a balcony (with room enough for a small table and a chair)

- be at least 30 sq m

- internet

My budget is in the 4000 - 9000 baht pr month range.

The nicest place I have found so far is the Sky Place (www.skyplace.com) but I am a little worried about accessibility and the lack of shops in the immediate area. Anyone know this place or can make other recommendations in the area?

look in the accomodation finding forum , member ' leatheryjowls ' normally has alot of cheap apartments

also try www.prakard.com , there is thousands of Apartments to rent on this site

good luck

ABAC is located at the back of the national stadium between thanon seri thai 4 and 5.

There are many apartments in this area, also many more located around Ramkamhaeng that are within your budget, I dont know about internet.

Best advice i can offer is come to Bangkok for a few days and scout around the local area, be warned the traffic is horrendous, probably some of the worst in Bangkok.

Many Thai style apartments dont have web sites, but if you read Thai you will see them advertized all around this area.

Inspire Place ABAC is the best place in that budget range. 8000 for the studio. Very, very convenient and good quality. Electricity and everything less than 1000 per month, so you are good to go.

However, if you really need a decent balcony etc., you may just wanna come here and check it out yourself. University staff will help you too.
