Great Bakery-secret Recipes-central Festival

Featured Replies

I have eaten at Secret Recipes in Penang a couple of times, and thought it was one of the best bakeries around, especially in Malaysia.

So, when I found Secret Recipes in Central Festival, it was on the top of my list.

A couple of friends of mine and I ate there yesterday, and besides the cake and cheesecake being as delicious as in Penang, the lasagna and spaghetti were very good as well. So good, that I returned later that night to get a few more slices of cake, "Buy 2, get one free".

It is located on the 5th floor next to Beach Road.

walked by and they sure look good in the window. unfortunately not good for a waistline so i keep going

If you're interested in good cakes - there's a new place opened at the East end of Soi 17 - opposite the open-air food market, a couple of doors down from 7-11, that has excellent cakes.

She's only been open a few days, my wife's birthday was on the 20th and that was in the opening week. Bought a coffee cake, a chocolate cake and some slices of blueberry cheesecake. Went back a couple of days later to treat myself to more of the cheesecake. Blueberries as big as marbles. Deeelish!

I agree great cakes...but old news...I posted about this place (and their Bangkok branches too) way back.

During their opening weeks...the special was better...buy 1 cake and get another free :o
