Cable Modem

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any specific information where I can buy a cable modem in Pattaya, I will have a look in Tukom tomorrow but if someone has purchased before and knows who stocks them here it would be appreciated.

My cable modem came "free" along with the monthly service. Why would you want to buy one ? Will TOT reduce your monthly charge because you own the equipment?

Yes, you are all mostly correct, however buying your own modem means:

1. You are not committed to a contract term with TOT

2. You can purchase a wireless modem at around 1000 baht and then "share" your connection costs etc.

3. You can purchase a more powerful modem (speed) with better technology

D-link have an office on 3rd floor of dot.com and there are many suppliers there.

:o

Cable modem?

AFAIK only 2 companies supply internet through cable, supernet and BTV, and they both use their own , non standard equipment.
