sheffield united were beaten 1-0 by Burnley and so miss out on a promotion to the premiership.

sheffield's chairman has said they will be sueing Burnley for being a better team than them and could be claiming over £100 million for gate receipts and prize money they would have received had Burnley not been better than them.

Great to get on a bus to Sheff to watch Rotherham play in Sheffield at an Athletics ground.

At least Worksop has its own ground,,,,it would be far more fitting for the Millers to go and play there,,but then again Worksop is of far greater importance and wouldn,t have em.

Anyway,,,how can you comment on Championship play offs ?

Where exactly where are Rotherham United in the divisions ? Please tell the world !!! :D

We are in the 4th division. big deal. No matter what division they were in I would be proud of them. I have supported them since I was 4 years old, My Dad and Grandad supported them. Born in Rotherham, Raised in Rotherham, Support Rotherham and until I moved to Thailnd 5 years ago, I went to every home and away game for 8 seasons, including Worksop pre season on 3 occasions. Even now im in Thailand I still see them at least 4 times a season when I go home.

Whats your excuse for supporting the Blunts and how many times have you been to bumhole lane? if any.

<deleted> Dee Daa's same all over the world. :D:):D

This ranting has got a bit boring now.

Next :)

So.

Kevin Blackwell has stated that he will be staying at Sheffield United.

I find this good news as the last thing needed is another Bryan ( I did) Robson kind of experience.

Correct...born in Glossop Road Hospital.

Who in their right mind would support Sheff Utd if they were not from Sheffield?

I,ve seen the Blades play over the last 35 years.

I,m sorry I dont go back to the UK every year to see them play. :D

But.

I,m over the moon that I dont have to go back to the UK at all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Where is that James from anyway ? With a monica like that he sounds like he's from Surrey or some other posh, leafy suburb of London .Which would place him well amongst many other Man u supporters admittedly.

Sorry for ignorance HH , is it like that?

I call these (supporters) chuffs.

OK, I cannot call the Arsenal supporting communtity of Singapore chuffs( :) ) because they cannot go there every week.

But when you see what Singapore has on offer for the football fanatic,,its no wonder peolpe look overseas.

I think there is a great deal of shame ( my view only) not to give your support to your local club and follow some big club just because they are a front runner. Maybe I,m wrong and I,m sure someone will give me a roasting over this comment.

Thaimiller,,,,come on mate this is all in good humour,,,,you cannot imagine the amount of stress that Singhy gives me.

Oh bugger,,,,thats let the cat out of the bag now

bkkjames I dont know you or where you,re from but this post is not directed at you.

And you are correct...things could be worse...as in Rotherham United........sorry I mean Newcastle

lol, it is all good humoured mate, supporting Rotherham how can I ever talk about football in any other way than with humour. I mean the only thing we have ever really achieved since I started watching them in 79 is a few lower league titles and the autowindscreens trophy. Not exactly glory hunting. But enjoyable times non the less. :)

Seems to be mate.If I listen to a phone-in there's hardly ever a Manc accent to be heard. Although if you go to Old Trafford then you do actually hear some. Unless they're wooden planks/Yanks just pretending. :)

I don't think that any true football fan has time for glory hunters , or in your quaint northern vernacular - "chuffs" (only joking.) But since the inception of Sky then it seems like anything goes. We can remember the time when you supported your local team as it reflected the community in which you lived. But perhaps there's no real sense of community nowadays and only marketable franchise as far as football are concerned.

Ham shanks you mean ?

surely

Community,,,now thats a reality thats alive and kicking in Thailand.

In fact,,community maybe something we have lost in the UK.,,,well it was in the early 90,s around my place when I b**ggered off, but to live within my Thai family I feel there is no other place I would love to be.

The family and community is the centre of exsistance.

Look at it as social security.

Number one mate.

Ham shanks you mean ?surely

No, Wooden Plank is the traditional rhyming slang. There is another which is much less than flattering though.

And not without very good socio-economic reasons.

Look at it as social security

True. In the literal sense.

I'm not one to view anything Thai through rose tinted spectacles. I know too much, or so I've been told. Ignorance is bliss sometimes. Can't speak for Issan though as I've never been, but my wife lived there for seventeen years and isn't that impressed. For all that, I still love Pratayt Thai though and no doubt will end up living there permanently again.

Anyway, back to the beautiful game for the masochists of this world ... :)

Crystal Palace have been deducted one point by the Football League for fielding an ineligible player in their clash with Sh*ffield United on 3 May.

The Eagles introduced Rui Fonte as a 55th minute substitute despite his loan deal from Arsenal having expired.

The League's independent Football Disciplinary Commission also fined the club £20,000, of which £15,000 is suspended for one full season.

It means Palace finish on 56 points but remain 15th in the Championship.
