can anybody give me a real description of the situation currently on the east coast and west coast of the islands. Is koh tao/ samui etc busy. Would it be difficult to get accomodation. I've seen many reports some saying the resorts are empty some saying they are straining due to people changing their plans and missing the west coast. I'm planning on returning to thailand in a few weeks ( i've been coming for years ) and would like to visit raylee and koh lanta as usual but am unable to get a realistic account of the general availablity. I'm also reluctant to switch to to east coast island if they are crowded???

would much appriciate the help

thanks

i,ve just returned from travelling the east coast .

my route , cha-am - hua hin - chumphon - surat thani- samui .

there is no problem in finding accomodation, however i stayed a few

nights in a hotel at the main port on samui . i hired a scooter

done a few journeys around the island , and booked accomodation

for another part of the island . easy pips :o
