Do they have a "worlds gloomiest person" list too?

Interesting read. Two of the "least worse" countries in the region are India and Vietnam. Brazil also looks good on the list.

Something to consider for all expats thinking about leaving Thailand before the sh*t hits the fan.

hi hhgz,

since you have such great vision and business acumen, maybe you should consider the red "parade" a good thing for Thailand's rankings, so perhaps the following:

1) tanks/armored car rides for the kiddies

2) helicopter rides for world leaders

3) red shirt/yellow shirt distributorship to stay one step ahead of current trends

4) photography business specializing in smiling soldiers and their weapons

5) empty condo balcony ticket sales to get birds eye view of the Bangkok mechanized parade

that should help with the ranking but not so much with the denial

A Business Week fill piece to give AOL'ers something to look at while waiting for mail to download.

It's gloomy everywhere in this current world economy, it'll turn around. :o

if you are in your 20s, you may live to see it ! :D

It says Japan is No.1.

With no unrests, no tanks, no clashes, no blood.

On the ground, just this weekend:

Easter eggs hunting:

All weather swimming pools busy as usual:

Hanami yasumi (enjoying wild cherry blossom, sakura) in full swing:

Playgrounds full:

There is a sign of a gloom. Poluted creeks:

Poluted with sakura petals.

Of course, it is not all blossom and joy but it is far better than the picture in the magazine is showing.
