Show your son the pictures of Tin Tin. Might be a much better option.

YES!!!!! Have a look at Tin Tin! Could this be fate? Thai dogs are great! They are smart and resistant to all kinds of complaints that are prevalent in Pedigree breeds. Cheaper to run and you could be doing what sounds like a great and faithful dog a great favour!

Cheers!

Please, Maccaroni Man, consider adopting Tin Tin. I think that he is about 50% German Shepherd.

Please PM me if you and/or your son are considering Tin Tin as a new member of your family.

You must see it Macarroniman, Tin Tin is your fate, it's destiny & too coincidental... :D

He MUST be yours..

Edit to add : Last time i was at Top Cats & whilst on the subject of dodgy Dog Mixes, Mike had a Bull Shit, i swear ...Half Bulldog, half Shitzu, he really did/has... :D

I think that you're right, Nod - Tin Tin also looks half Asian to me.

I'd be amazed if either his Mother or Father were not Asian to be honest.. :D

I read the thread about tin tin and I have to say that he looks like a beautiful dog however from what I read he is a runner and has already developed the habit of a soi dog, which is not a behavior i am looking for, i need more of a home body. but if this is not the way it is how old is he?

Tin Tin's behaviour has clearly shown to me that he is happy to remain attached to one spot if that's his home. I have a feeling that someone took good care of him before they left the island.

I think that Tin Tin is somewhere between 12 and 18 months old, but he often behaves like a playful puppy.

If you want hip and eye clearances, you need a breeder who can supply you with pedigree information going back at least five generations- this means spending some money (20K minimum for 'pet quality', to over 50K for a puppy sired by a champion)- you are NOT going to get this with a 'backyard breeder' on Samui, no matter how healthy the parents might look.

The Kennel Cub of Thailand is a good resource, and here are a couple of numbers for breeders (I have absolutely no knowledge of these breeders other than the fact they offer pedigreed dogs):

German Shepherds:

Silver Star-

The Kennel Robertus-

Poodles:

Saiyai Kennel-

I hope you give Tin Tin a shot, though. :D
