When I visited the ROP website I noticed that the required miles for gold suddenly had gone up from 20,068 to 47,530. I tried to understand the rules as they are published on their website, but can't find the logic behind it. I've send a couple of emails to them, but no reply.

This is now going on for about 2 months and i'm seriously thinking about leaving the scheme. didn't give much benefits in the first place, but then again what schem does?

could be to adjust to other starmembers, f.e. LH has almost doubled the needed mileage from m&m to ff, not talking about top level!

At a guess, I'd say it's because of the way that you achieve Gold status: 50k miles in 1 year or 80k miles in 2 years. It looks like you've reached the end of the first year and had 20k miles still to go. They are saying that if you get 47k miles by the end of this second year, they will give you Gold. It looks like you took a flight for a few thousand miles in between (i.e. 30k - 27k)

I've heard about the other *Alliance schemes raising the amounts needed to get Gold and Silver but nothing about Thai doing this.
