Hi Folks, recently saw a plastic surgeon here, in the uk for a consultation ref. my keloid (adolesent acne) scars on my chest and shoulders. Only 2 or 3 of the scars are profound enough to be noticable. Tried the gel, doc injected some cortisones directly into the scar tissue, he said this reduces the bulk/colour - both methods unsuccessful. Doc mentioned some kind of cream you cannot obtain here in the uk, but can get in Hamburg. Any reports/suggestions/advice? Thanx in advance my fellow visa members for your well received posts, reguards siamsam. :o

Go and see a reputable plastic surgen here. They will be probably a fifth of the cost as the ones in the UK and I imagine would be excellent at getting rid of scars. Many Thai women are quite a vain bunch, so I would think that the Doctors here are quite good at this sort of thing.

If your referring to the keloid scar that results in persons pre-disposed by their skin condition to have bumps or rarised areas in scar tissue on their skin, then future classic plastic excision of the keloid and careful and artful sewing may not do it for you.

Acne scarring is most often revised successfully these days with lazer treatments and there are many lasers in Thailand to be used, some probably more successful for acne scar revison than others.

A cosmetic oriented plastic surgeon in Thailand is a great choice as long as he is under 50. Brumrengard Hospital in BKK is the most popular, still cheap by UK standards and do work on 250k falang a year. No horrow stories from there yet.

Yanhee Hospital specializes in platisc surgery and dermantology. They have a a great website with prices.
