I purchased mine from the UK and paid well over the top for them. There are sellers here in Thailand who charge as little as 1000b for the maps pre loaded on memory cards. Obviously not original Garmin products

Also readily available as free downloads from some sites on the internet, dont think I can mention actual websiotes on here but google free download thailand Garmin maps and you will find them.

If you do want an original Garmin map on memory card just noticed a link on thaivisa.com under the heading city navigator thailand 8 under 30 euros with free worldwide delivery.

You might find some help hereGarmin .I have seen in the classifieds someone who upgrades them, just have to go through a few ads.

If you press the read button on either ads, you will see that they can supply maps, without having to buy the GPS unit.

Or just read the 2 full links you attached.

Thanks. I must admit I didn't look at those ads in detail. But I save a link to this topic in case I need Garmin maps for Thailand for myself in future.
