longstebe Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 Dont eat yellow snow.___^ You have learned much from me grasshopper. Now, punctuation... Sorry boss! I try.
patklang Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I have read the horror stories, heard all the tales, have been told many times how stupid I am. IE; brother is husband, she has 5 farang sending money. The familly take you for a mug and steal all your stuff. I have had marriages in England which have cost me more than all the money I have spent in Thailand in five years almost.I am under no illusions ,I am the provider, this is the same the whole world over. Man works Woman makes family. If I was selling the BIG ISSUE on the high street or driving a nice BMW who would the females look at ? I do not make a big deal out of the fact that I bring in the money, and she does not bring up the fact that I do not send enough. Many bar girls want just the same as many farang want. Someone to take care off them, look after them, that is not to much to ask.If you could imagine the bullshit they have had to listen over time, you must understand they might take your words with a pinch of salt. I have had five years of happiness,I wish I had visited LOS many years ago , perhaps then I wouldent have been ripped off so much in the UK. But a word of caution to anybody who will take notice. DO NOT SPEND MONEY THAT YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO WALK AWAY FROM. To try to reclaim anything you have bought/built or invested in is a waste of time. Be tollerant,do not get angry,be strong, earn respect, and be lucky. Wow you teach me well, didnt know all this
sassienie Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 (edited) Girls that work in bars are doing a job. You take them out, do the business and pay them. It’s a simple business transaction. Any guy that tries to further this into a longer term relationship is a plonker. They are not concerned about respect or have self-esteem, it`s all about money. They are only a commodity, there as part of a nightly entertainment, the same as going for a meal or drink. Treat it as this, than everyone`s happy all round. Edited May 17, 2009 by sassienie

The difference between the BMW driver and the Big Issue seller - yes the females in UK would probably look at the richer guy, however they won't be getting screwed by foreigners once, twice or more a night. Bargirls are great at making foreigners believe that they are not whores and they are not whoremongers. You are happy living with such a girl - fine. I wouldn't be. Each to their own.
JetsetBkk Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 ...DO NOT SPEND MONEY THAT YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO WALK AWAY FROM... Wow! I must make a note of that one.
britmaveric Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 If you know the game, can't be ripped off - as simple as that!!
mommysboy Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I think he's pissied and hurt but doesn't want to be seen as pissed and hurt. But why he would write about being pissed and hurt and then deny he is pissed and hurt is beyond me! Could be that he's just waking up to the cold hard reality! pity him I guess.

mommysboy Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I keep posting, hope this works. Sorry bros, I've had a few beers. IT PROBABLY ISN"T THAT BAD. I've had quite a bit of experience on these matters.
elektrified Posted May 17, 2009 Posted May 17, 2009 I guess it depends on your view of the world. I'm am more happy to have a loving caring educated to the same level wife of the same age that I can have conversations with and plan for the future of our children with. Security, stability and home is more important to me than action and adventure but we are all different. I concur (except the same age bit ). Avoid paid sex-workers at all cost. There is no future there.

Kf6vci Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 It's a shame - Thailand is a large country. There are so many decent, hard working girls. But then, most farang men seem to flock to Pattaya of all places! It's sad that you only know this kind of one-sided relationship.
Shotime Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 My cousin asked me today what my Thai GF did for a living? I told her that she works me. I wanted to say to her "what did you do?" You married a guy that made a lot of money. Had a couple kids. Divorced him 10 years later, and took most of his money. Now you have homes in two or three nice cities, and never really worked a day in your life. I didn't cause she's my favorite cousin, but I can see what the OP is saying. I'm sure I had a better time with my Thai GF than my cousins' husband ever had with her. I always thought that I never could give her enough just for having to listen to me.
ozzydom Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 "DO NOT SPEND MONEY THAT YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO WALK AWAY FROM."Don't tell me...it's...ah...that's it: Robert DiNiro in "Heat". The first time I heard this quote was from Ronald Biggs (the great train robber ) when he was on the run a great many years ago.
geriatrickid Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 bpeeIs your forum ID a Roman letter alliteration of a Thai slang word meaning 'to copulate'? I am in awe of your acuity.
grantbkk Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 I think he was involved in an extended "girlfriend experience" that went sideways. The girlfriend experience is when the girl acts like your girlfriend when she is with you, emailing or texting you. IT IS NOT A REAL RELATIONSHIP! He is paying for the faux experience like a ride at Disneyland (no pun intended). The negative psychological effects of these "experience" junkies are manifested on the weak.

This is the most profound post on this thread IMO. Not sure what the OP is talking about (wish he would hit the enter key once in a while), or what a "plunker" is ???
