I have a Non immigrant visa 'O' which I got from the Thai Hull Consulate in UK.

My first 90 days are about to expire and I'm looking for some advice on what I need to do, sorry if this topic has already been covered but I couldnt see it.

Is it simply just a matter of leaving Thailand before 90 days expire and then coming back? Are there any complications with this as some forums seem to say that people have had trouble with the immigration authorities? Is this only a problem for people that need a brand new visa (rather than just exit and entrance). I was thinking of going to Singapore for a short trip - any thoughts?

Thanks for your help.

It is a simple matter of leaving and then re-entering and getting another 90 day entry. You can do it the same day if you wish. Just cross the border and come back is what a lot of people do.

You can go to where ever you want.

You can either leave and depart by air or land. With both, you'll get an extra 90 days. Air Asia does cheapies to SIN or if you want to save a few bob, you can do a border run to Poipet with http://www.jackgolf.com/en/ . However, DO NOT stay more than your allotted 90 days!! A few days before your visa expires, do another border run and you'll still get 90 days thus stretching your visa out to nearly 15 months.

You will have a Permitted to Stay stamp in your Passport. Leave and return on that day at the latest to get another 90 days.

Do your last exit/return the day before you Visa expires and you will get another 90 days giving a total of 15 months.

What was the 'o' based on - you may able to just get an extension for the year and then on year by year - its covered here on the main site.
