I understand what you're saying but this just sounds funny..."I can't exercise because there isn't enough electricity to run the machine for me". :)

It's not new, it's been there for almost 2 years now and it's almost in the open air, just a roof on top. Not very fancy and afaik mainly used by Thais. Can't beat the rpice tho.............

Are you talking about the one run by the Hungarian guy?

I've been there and I thought it was really good. A bit serious on the boxing thing for me as I was there for a workout more than a lesson in technique but otherwise I really enjoyed myself.

I found everyone extremely friendly.

If it's the same one I went to which is past big buddha then it is 200 baht for a boxing class - not sure if it's the same cost just to use the gym but they did have offers on weekly and monthly rates.

However, I have no idea if there is more than one jungle gym in that area. I could be thinking of a different one.

Last I heard was 20,-THB per day

It is a different place to the outdoor one - I went to that about 18 months ago and it was as you describe, 20 baht into a tin on the wall, no staff just a load of spring powered machines. Very quaint and interesting though!

The Jungle Gym geing referred to is either new gym altogether or a largely upgraded version. I heard 150 baht a daily visit.

Hopefully 150 a day is to catch the short term tourists..... would like to think it would be lot cheaper if you pay for several months ???

yes people were friendly hungarian guy was teaching me some stuff. Though i thought that he meant well i just like to train with thai people in thailand. just a pursonal thing. i not like to mix 2 different styles together. there is a new guy there who used to be alympic champian in boxing. would be interesting to train with him. if western boxing is your thing.
