hi,

I wish to train at Rompo Gym where i'm looking for a place close by around 5-10k a month. I'm not a fan of Rompo Mansion, i found it to be very dirty.

Well Rompo mansion is your best option for that money around there. And no it's not dirty, maybe the outside needs bit paint but the rooms are in general good and clean although basic.

Have to admid that the "hotel rooms" with carpets were discusting but the rental rooms with tile floors are much nicer. I lived there for several years and found it very good. Maintenance came to fix anything broken within same day usually etc. They also cleaned and painted the whole unit when i moved in. Paid 8,400 per month with 10% discount if you pay on time.

Ok, then there is the building next to Rompo. Cheaper but definedly not nicer than Rompo...

Then there is some places in other side of Rama IV but they are not exactly close to Rompo anymore...

i'm at the rompo mansion now and i did choose a room with carpet. there are stains all over the carpet in the hallway and around my room. the furniture looks very second hand. the tiles on my balcony are very dirty...

i might try a tile room tomorrow night... how is the furniture and bathroom? i've been staying at L.A. towers the last 5 nights which i would highly recommend but it's a little 2 far away from rompo gym and shops.

if anyone else has any suggestions, plez let me know...

Yep, if you rent per night they give you the "hotel" rooms with the carpets. Some of those are horrible. They have done some renovation in past couple of years but not sure which floors. I used to stay in 7th floor "behind the corner" where the rooms are bit bigger. But by all means ask them to get 7th floor or lower. All those should be tiled floor and in general nicer condition than the carpeted ones upstairs.

The furniture is basic and old everywhere althouhg some rooms have new build in furniture so it is a hit and miss. But again if you rent by month you can see their rooms that are vacant and then choose from those. Anyways monthly rent is around two weeks in the "hotel" so might be worth it.

i changed to the studio with tiles instead of carpet today. it's so much better! furniture isn't bad compare to before. last night the water that goes into the toilet was leaking after each flush and there was hair in the bathroom. they really need to fix that level up (level 10) where i'm currently in level 6 now.

the street area around rompo mansion is run down but it's very close to everything. there is a small mall 2 mins away which has everything. the supermarket sells everything u need on level 3 and has KFC, maccas and DQ where there a large food court on level 4 that sells food for all cultures. train station is in walking distance!

studio room with carpet 1 1/2 stars (wouldn't recommend)

stuidio room with tiles 3 1/2 stars (recommend for cheap accommodation)
