June 13, 200916 yr Hi, Just wondering if anyone can help coz I'm kinda confused by the Thai visa regulations. I'm Irish and flying to Bangkok in july and have a return ticket home from Bangkok in 35 days. Will we still be able to get the 30 day visa exemption stamp ? We won't actually be in Thailand for over thirty days as we're going to Laos for approx a week. Wil we have any problems explaining this as we don't have proof of a flight ticket to Laos as we are travelling overland?? Hope someone can help! Thanks in advance

June 13, 200916 yr You could have a problem leaving Europe ! But for Thailand, I never had any problems but that's 7 y ago. You could make a trip-plan, where do you go and how do you travel, hotel or family in Laos, bookings, Lao visa, etc. I never heard about being refused once here. But they might check your visa in Europe and refuse you. You could call your carrier ? And if so, get a visa for Laos in your country.
June 13, 200916 yr You need to show proof of onward travel if the ticket is for more then 30 days. Immigration doesn't check, they leave it to the airline to check. Some airlines do, some don't. So better check with the airline, by email so you have it in writing.
