Tony Roma's opposite the Landmark Hotel in Sukhimvit has very good steaks and Buffalo wings. There is a seated area looking out onto the sidewalk , I dont recommend that unless you want everyone walking past peering at you but upstairs is a nice seated area and you can lookout over the Soi.

Chok Chai Steak House at 45 Prasanmitr Plaza off Soi Sukhumvit 23 is pleasant enough and worth a try just once to see whether you like it too. I have taken a few friends there since arriving in Thailand and it always seems to go down okay (the food and the environment!). Why not take the kids along to check inn 99 ? the hostesses will love to take care of them.

Admittedly the chateaubriand is excellent.
