Travel To Ban Krut (transport)

Featured Replies

Hallo

We want to go to Koh Samui but we want to stop over in Ban Krut for a few days.

What is the best way to get there ?

Bus or train ?

Are there direct busses to Ban Krut from the southern bus station and how to we get to the bus station from the Mandarin Hotel , we now where the train station is but I believe there are only night trains to the south and they do not stop in every station ,we also like to travel during daytime so we can see a bit from the country.

Are there anywhere timetables available , we just stay one night in Bangkok so we do not want to spend to much time by searching for information about timetables in Bangkok .

Thanks

Adrienne and Harry.

Ps : i believe it is better to arrive by daylight to find a place to stay ?

Its a 5 hour ride by bus from Bkk. Buses leave the southern bus terminal.

Trains as you say do it overnight on the Bkk to Had Yai run. But gets you there very earl morning.

This is will explain more.

Ban Krut is a good choice if you want somewhere quiet .

I always drive there so cannot help with trnasport advice , but if you need accomodation I can give you some details.
