Price Difference Between 2.5 And 3.0 Pick Up

Hi guys!

Eight month a year I'm in Thailand. Until now I rented a car or I took the bus for my trips. Since a while I'm thinking to buy a car. The maximum I want to pay is 700'000 Bath. I need the car for trips outside of BKK, trips from BKK to the south or to the Isaan. I really love the new Honda Jazz but I guess it would be better to buy a pick up?! Actually I don't really like such big cars.........What do you recommend?

Can anyone tell me how much is the price difference for the insurance 1 class and the government tax for a 4 door pick up 2.5 and a 3.0?

I don't think there is much difference in tax/insurance just because the engine is 2.5L vs. 3.0L. For what it's worth, my truck, which is a 2.8L, (and is for sale: http://classifieds.thaivisa.com/automotive...dis-24063.html) was only about 750 baht for 3rd class gov't tax/insurance. I believe it the first class was around 2500.
