Of course it is . . . . . . must of just been Alan Hansen and many other who said that what Tony Pulis teams are known for is getting the most out of what we have, putting in 100% effort and not crying when things go badly. Just imagine what might have been if your lot could of put in anywhere near 50% of our effort . .

Also strange ain't it that frequently our players got the <deleted> kicked out of them (if you want numerous examples I will happily make them) but not only did we not complain about it but just carried on. But if your idea of football is rolling around screaming like a girl and managers complaining about a team being 'physical' I'd suggest you concentrate on Serie A or La Liga. Football is supposed to be a physical game and just because now the majority of the Prem players only know how to dive, cheat, and whinge don't try blame us for bringing some reality back to the game. Both Wolves and Burnley have said they will be looking to 'do a Stoke' this season and if it means bringing some good wholehearted blood, thunder and aggression to the table then bring it on it just might make the Premier League interest again!

This is English football - the reason why it's always used to be exciting - I seriously think last season we provided something of a shot in the arm and a wake up call in terms of interest for the Premier League. No teams liked to play us and absolutely no team relished a visit to the Britannia - however the neutrals on the whole loved it. Fergie even went on record saying that there hard fought (read: lucky) victory at the Britannia was probably the most important result of their season.

We had this kind of <deleted> stated from the off last season that we 'don't play nice football' or 'we kick them off the pitch' or whatever the other excuses they could make up. The fact is we and probably 13 or so other team will never match the 'Big 4' for skill and never on monetary grounds so you have to have a plan B. If that plan b means putting 100% effort, never giving them time to settle and play their game and intimidate them not only with physical aggression but also an intimidating atmosphere then so be it!

Singh you're chasing a loser again (double or quits on the last seasons bet? )! Brown is a total fuc_ktard of the highest order and admitting he made a mistake by doing the pitch thing is one thing but I don't suppose he's actually accepts that no one wants to sign for them because of HIM (well and that Hull is a total shitehole!). The latest story is that Hull are going to pay 3 million for Olofinjana from us . . . he is quite possibly one of the worst buy Pulis has ever made but it looks highly likely we'll get our money back! Wolves laughed when we paid 3 mill for him and now we can laugh at Hull! Oh and the reason he's going to Hull is because he's doing a degree at Aberdeen university - we did accept an offer from Monaco for 2.5mill previously and it was virtually a done deal til the Cock of Hull offered half a million more!

The bottom 3 for me will be 3 from Hull, Portsmouth, Brum, Burnley & Wigan. Wolves I think should be ok they have a decent backbone in the squad and walked the championship.

Mcleish yesterday called his own team shambolic after losing 4-1 to Crewe! The very team he's put together! To be making those kind of statements with just a week or so before the start of the season is pretty amazing - I'd be very concerned if I was a Brum supporter!

Pompey have well documented problems and are seemingly up shit creek without a paddle! Hart is a very underwelming manager and last season with a far better team they struggled - I'll be surprised if Hart isn't sacked early on!

Burnley have signed no players with Premiership experience and their squad barely got them up - there home form much like ours last season will be the key to their survival. If they get they home form going and get there players putting in the fight they could well stay up and to be honest I hope they do.

Wigan untested Prem manager and very little support to help them if things are going badly - doesn't bode well if Martinez doesn't hit the ground running.

As for us to be quite honest I think a comfortable midtable is easily within our reach - we are a couple of players away from having a very decent first team. Pulis stated he's in no rush to sign just anyone and is happy to wait for his preferred targets, we've been linked with many but none other than Dean Ashton have been confirmed by the club. The Ashton saga is purely down to Wet Sham not letting him leave until they have got a replacement. As long as he's fit he'll be a great signing he's a typical Pulis signing a players whose lost his way somewhat and need reabilitation, virtually our entire first squad is made up of these kind of players!

Anyone can point out our pre-season results have been terrible and this is true however in none of these games has our regular first team played, they've been teams made up from 1st, reserves and a sprinkling of youth players. Pulis has always maintained from day 1 that pre-season purely for fitness and the results are completely meaningless - it's just the way he runs his pre-seasons.

However we cannot be complacent or we'll end up in the bottom 3 quicker than we'd know - something which I am sure TP is very aware of. As I've said above we don't have a team who will win games based on pure skill - we have to put in the graft and the work ethic to get the results if we don't we will be fighting for our lives also.

I grew up being chased round the cemetery ( sometimes doing the chasing I may add ) in Stoke but have always had a soft spot for them.

Last season WBA did indeed play some attractive football but did not know how to win, Stoke did.

Unlike Hull who were a bit like a one trick pony, Stoke defended in depth and attacked with their strengths. If you have a man who can turn a throw into a corner, magic.

Top this with a clever manager ( getting rid of that rubbish we sold them to Hull a master stroke ) and they will do well.
