Ring Road

Featured Replies

Does anyone know for certain if we are getting a tarmac ring road or not, only ask because now i see they are puting road markings on the road,a yellow line down the middle and white motobike lane and are just painting straight over all the pot holes!so i dont think they are going to tarmac over that, that must be the finished job!

What did you expect, they only allocated Bt900 million.

That only one Mercedes each for the bosses. :)

I'm sure the 900 million baht has already been 'allocated'. There are enough reasons for me to enjoy living here but there are Samui aspects that will never change. There will almost certainly never be a tamac ring road, the taxis will not turn on their meters (unless they treble the tariff) helmets will not be enforced, Bangkok Samui hospital will continue to milk us or our insurance companies for all we're worth and Posh and Beck's won't be coming here for a holiday, as the house, if they have bought one was probably reccomended by his tax adviser.

i found the stretch of road that the 900k was spent on, only problem it is about 2 km long and a dead end but hey it is beautiful; the road to the water dept. hmmmm the same road that when there is no water from the water dept. there are private trucks filling up for delivery
