English Tourist Murdered By Taxi Driver

Featured Replies

The body of an English tourist was found dumped in scrubland in the Sattahip region. The man had multiple stab wounds and although the man’s passport and other details had been discarded police at the scene found a receipt for a taxi trip to Bangkok the man was due to take on Wednesday evening, the day of his murder.

Acting on the information, police rapidly apprehended the 26-year-old taxi driver who was identified as the last man to see the victim alive. The man confessed to the crime and stated he had murdered the unfortunate tourist in order to relieve him of his cash. The driver said he had accrued some large debts gambling on football and had no way of paying back his creditors and so he resorted to murder to relieve his monetary drama.

"Relieve his monetary drama" sheer poetry. No need to wonder in which part of Thailand this occurred - same one as usual.

Wonder what football team the driver had been backing unsuccessfully. Probably Norwich City.

Dumb taxi driver, if you're going to rob somebody, get him on his way to Pattaya, when he's loaded with cash. Not when he's leaving the country flat broke.

Nice how they all confess immediately when caught though. Saves a lot of time and money when you don't have to do a huge investigation :o
