You know a hookah, in case you thought of something else:

I've asked some of the restaurants in the arab district, but they want quite a lot of money for their hookah's and them hookah's have been going around the block one time too many.

Anyone, know of a shop that sells them? I got quoted 3000-4000 baht which I think is way too expensive and I dont need the pro stuff.

I've seen a shop on KSR sells them. I have also seen a street stall in China Town had some.

easy, just go to sukhumvit soy 3 and 5.lot of hukkas there

as long as it wasn't a brain fart

Never bought a hookah in Thailand, but 3-4000 baht is about right for a decent new hookah from what I've seen elsewhere. The expensive ones are a lot more than that.

I imagine the tobacco and coals aren't cheap here either.

Shisha 'as harmful as cigarettes'

Smoking a shisha pipe is as bad for people as smoking tobacco, the Department of Health and the Tobacco Control Collaborating Centre has found.

People who smoke shisha, or herbal tobacco, can suffer from high carbon monoxide levels, its research revealed.

It found one session of smoking shisha resulted in carbon monoxide levels at least four to five times higher than the amount produced by one cigarette.

High levels of carbon monoxide can lead to brain damage and unconsciousness.
