just arrived from Hong Kong. Cashier at HK duty free strongly suggested to us that we only take two bottles to BKK (one each) and they should be in separate plastic bags and carried individually. Speaks for itself.

Just make sure your mate takes theirs with em, if they go for a crap at Bkk.

Additional note!

Make sure your spirits/liquor is 40% proof maximum.

There have been reports on this forum about passengers being excessively fined for attempting to bring in 43% whiskey and 50% 'Blue' Smirnoff Vodka.

Randomly passengers are checked upon arrival in BKK airport, had it myself once. They have a scanner set up after you walk through the green channel and scan all luggage for bottles as ciggies...
