Located 1 km from Big C he has been helpful and all the work he has done so far has been better than any other mechanic I have had the 'pleasure??' of dealing with.

In the past I have dealt with 5 mechanics and none seemed to be able to fix a problem without creating another one or not doing the job properly in the first place and good mechanics seem like the proverbial Rocking Horse Sh*t

He seems to have a few decent contacts too. Currently working on a Holden 2.6 litre (the first Holden I have seen in Thailand) and he has sourced all the parts required to repair that motor too.

So for anyone needing a decent mechanic I can give you details and his phone number, even supply a map if you need it.

Thanks for mechanic post. Would you have any info re hiring a car in Nakonsawan? My wife live half way between K Pet and NS, and I'd sooner hire in NS than in Bangkok if I can?

I have asked around before on the subject of hiring cars in N'Sawan and I am told there are no companies doing this. Maybe for the same reason as the Travel Agents closed down - no one wants the services.

In my case, while I was having my car modified, I was lent one of the family cars after I gave up my search for a hire car. So it looks like BKK unless someone knows of somewhere nearer.
