My gf and I will be coming to Ayutthaya for about a week, and will need to stay in a hotel/guesthouse for the period. Everything I've found online is out of our range, since we'd prefer not to spend over 700 THB. Just need names of places to stay that are decent (with air, hot water, livable room) in Ayutthaya.

Chantana House is not too bad, it is new and fairly central, has a/c for 500 a night; 12/22 Narasuan Sai 1 Rd. 035-323200 cel 098-850257. It is fairly quiet unlike many guesthouses in Ayutthaya (lived in Ayutthaya for 6 months). The Ban Kru Pa in the Lonely Planet book is near a main road and very noisy as is the Sherwood. Some friends of ours manage an apt. building and rent apts. with a/c for 300 bhat a night, they are over by Rajitanee Hospital (take the No. 5 bus) their # is 035-335656 or cel 094-528278.
