Cat Veterinarian Required

Featured Replies

HI,

Our cat has an eye problem. We have taken her to Ao Chalong Animal Hospital, they do not know how to treat/diagnose her. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good vet to treat cats? (specifically eye problems). One eye is bulging out and she has delayed reflexes for pupil dilation. We live in southern Phuket, but if there are any other eye specialists off island, please share whom to go to. Thank you so much.

When you went to Ao Chalong did you see the male doctor DR Anucha? I personally call first and only see him as I have been very upset after seeing the female vets there as they just seemed clueless.

A few people have recommended DR Sushan (SP?) to me as he is very experienced. I have a number in my phone that says animal hospital and is not Ao Chalong 076 280 740. I think it may be him. (there is a Father and Son I think, the father is the one that was recomended to me).

They are next to PromPhan supermarket, past Ao Chalong.

Good luck with your kitty! :) YOu can also try posting in the pets forum on Thai Visa for suggestinos. Some good info there.

You could also try PAWS, google "paws phuket" for their website.

Good luck :)

Don't know specifically for eye problems, but we use the vet opposite Dowroong School, in the Phuket Villa estate shops. Actually, his clinic is right beside,a big sign which says, "SEX" encouraging the use of condoms.

The PAWS Clinic is great and I use them for lots of smaller stuff but they are more of a clinic and have lots of experience with the kinds of infections you see on street dogs and cats. They were far better at treating a wound my cat had then the female vet (short with glasses) at Anucha. They do have a xray machine there now and their prices for shots and sterilization is cheaper but they are just more of a clinic ...

Although I will say their vets are very good. Dr Oui and Dr Wim. (sisters).
